Implementation of Music Playing Method in Improving Students' Creativity at SD Islam Al Azhar 14 Semarang
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the music playing method in art learning and examine its effect on increasing student creativity at Al Azhar 14
Semarang Islamic Elementary School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach , data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included music teachers and fourth grade students who were actively involved in music playing activities. The results showed that the application of the play music method encouraged students to be more active, dare to express
themselves, and produce original musical ideas. Students' creativity increased significantly in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Music learning with the play method also proved effective in building a fun learning atmosphere while instilling Islamic character values. This finding reinforces that the play approach in art learning can bea relevant strategy to improve the creativity of elementary school students, especially in an Islamic-based school environment
